Welcome to the new home for monochrome maniacs.
I've imported all the posts from Aileni's Monochrome Weekly blog, so you'll be able to look back at old favourites.
(Edited to explain that the imported posts have vanished. Sorry!)
As ever, the copyright of these photos remains with the photographers. Clicking on the picture will take you to their post.
I hope you'll like it here.

Welcome to the new site!
ReplyDeleteHere you go! Good luck with the new venture.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices for the features this week and thank you so much for keeping this going for all of us Dragonstar.
ReplyDeleteIt is very nice to see that this very special meme (my favourite) is continuing under very competent new management. I hope that the old management is also doing very well and I wish both of you all the best.
ReplyDeleteThanks for choosing my photo.
ReplyDeleteDragonstar, thanks for continuing this wonderful meme...

ReplyDeleteNice choices and thank you for keeping this alive!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dragonstar. I'm sure I'll like it here. Great images -- my favorite is the one near the bottom with the two people.
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping this on Dragonstar. I've also loved this meme though I am not that regular here. Keep it going on!
ReplyDeleteOh, everybody said it all, Miss Dragon! I know it will be as awesome as always! Just changed the blog title at my post!
ReplyDeleteKisses and much love for you both! :)

Thanks for keeping this Dragonstar. Thanks to Aileni, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection of images, as always.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm new to the Black&White weekend.
Your photos are just amazing!
Yes, nice job and thank you!
ReplyDeleteLovely as always. But, as a newby here, how are photos chosen, and what are the themes?
ReplyDelete@ 13 Stoploss:
ReplyDeleteAileni started this theme as a reason for people to post their B&W photos. He hoped that it might encourage beginners to improve their photographic vision and technique. No weekly subject was considered at that time.
The whole idea took off much more rapidly than anyone expected - there seems to be a great love of good black and white photography.
The featured photos each week were chosen purely because he liked them, and I'm continuing with that. They do need to have 'something' going for them - fuzzy, murky, shapeless photos don't appeal!
Does that help?
Dragonstar,
ReplyDeletePlease do not visit my blog again. Being critical without providing constructive feedback is just mean. Never happened when Aileni was running the place. I'll not be back.
Thank you for continuing with the theme, Dragonstar, and thank you Aileni, I have learned so much about working with b&w since I found the site. Also, thank you for choosing one of my shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThank you for keeping on ;)
ReplyDelete- nice pics again this week ;)
Thanks that you keep going on.
ReplyDelete... but I published the wrong link this week.
